Ever heard of FAWM.org? It stands for February Album Writing Month. It’s a free online community of songwriters and collaborators, all over the world, who commit to writing 14 songs in 28 days every February. It’s a great way to motivate yourself and inspire creativity during the shortest winter month. Work out ideas and load them up to the website and get reviews from other Fawmers who are working hard all month, just like you. You can listen to others music too and leave encouragement and constructive critique. All genres are represented and the environment is positive and helpful. If you don’t think you can bang out 14 songs, don’t worry, only some do. And if it motives you to write six new tunes, that’s six new song ideas you didn’t have in January….
