This guitar is one of our favorites of the year. It’s an amazing acoustic from 1977 Japan. It’s a K. Yairi VW600GS with solid spruce top and laminate Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. It has a dark, warm tone that has mellowed with age. The dreadnought body and Martin-esque X bracing makes for loud projection and crystalline clarity.There’s intricate mother of pearl inlay work throughout but most striking is the two lines of inlays going up and down the fingerboard. The split headstock is very striking and unique. It comes with it’s original hardcase with papers. Made in Japan by master luthier K. Yairi and his cohorts.
