This guitar has unique style with familiar features and a cool history. It’s a Shergold Masquerader; a modern re-issue of a 70s sleeper/classic from England. This version uses Seymour Duncans in a HSS pickup configuration with a 5 way switch – volume and tone. The Shergold company formed from 2 former Burns London employees in the late 60s and knocked out some amazing guitars and basses that were embraced by local musicians and weirdos of the time. Freaks of note include Ian Curtis and Peter Hook of Joy Division, Mike Rutherford of Genesis, Julien Cope, & according to wikipedia, Gary Numan wrote “Cars” on a Shergold Modulator bass. $950 w/ Hiscox hardcase. #shergoldguitars#geartalk#guitarnerds#guitar#georgetownmusic#gearheads#georgetown_music#masquerader#joydivision#garynuman
