Early 80s Yamaha Pedal Platform?

Early 80s Yamaha Pedal Platform?

Looking for a cool vintage amp sound without forfeiting a month’s rent? Try out this 2X10 Yamaha solid-state beauty from the early 80s. It pumps 50 solid-state watts through two 10″ speakers, has high and low inputs, 3 band EQ, bright control, reverb and tremolo.

The gorgeous clean sound on this thing is amazing. When this amp was being manufactured there wasn’t a thing called a “Pedal Platform” but this has it. The jazz players would use this amp as an alternate option to their Twin Reverbs and Tweeds. No tubes means less maintenance right?

They sound arguably as good as a Roland Jazz Chorus for just straight, clean guitar…. Oh and speaking of the Jazz Chorus… this thing has a “distortion” circuit. Ha ha! Wow does it does it sound like shit! Sorta like the distortion circuit on a jazz chorus amp… terrible!!! Maybe that was their inspiration. At any rate, just don’t turn that knob on EVER and you’re good. Or run your drum machine through it for some sweet Daft Punk meets Massive Attack action. But I digress… Do yourself a favor and check this thing out.
