What you’re looking at is the Concertmate MG-1 manufactured by Moog Music in 1981 and released at Radio Shack under the Realistic name. It is a strange, unique bird with some funky, quirky design aspects. But at the end o the day, it’s a 40 year old analog synth, and you can get those fat Moog synth-bass sounds at a fraction of the price. $799 from us to be exact.
Some of the controls are named funny on the front panel. They took a “laymen friendly” approach and didn’t use the usual synthesizer nomenclature. For instance, “Tone Source” for oscillators, “Contour” for the envelope, “Rise Time” for attack and “Fall Time” for release.
