1981 Vintage Realistic Concertmate MG-1 Synthesizer

1981 Vintage Realistic Concertmate MG-1 Synthesizer

What you’re looking at is the Concertmate MG-1 manufactured by Moog Music in 1981 and released at Radio Shack under the Realistic name. It is a strange, unique bird with some funky, quirky design aspects. But at the end o the day, it’s a 40 year old analog synth, and you can get those fat Moog synth-bass sounds at a fraction of the price. $799 from us to be exact.

Some of the controls are named funny on the front panel. They took a “laymen friendly” approach and didn’t use the usual synthesizer nomenclature. For instance, “Tone Source” for oscillators, “Contour” for the envelope, “Rise Time” for attack and “Fall Time” for release. Portamento is called “Glide” and Ring Mod is “Bell Tone.” All in all it’s pretty fantastic! Come check it out, along with our other new and used synthesizers. Here’s some specs:

-Excellent working condition

-Analog subtractive synthesis

-3 Oscillators (2 mono, 1 poly)

-Duotimbural-1 LFO

-Low pass filter-Ring Modulator

-31 full sized keys
