Without going into a long ‘history of the Echoplex’ post, I’m here to say that this pedal is a triumph. MXR knocked it outta the park with this recreation of one of the most sought-after delay effectors of all time.
Simple 3-knob controls with sustain, volume, and delay time controls. The Volune knob doubles as an age knob which when engaged adds modulation and saturation simulating tape-warble and aging tape. The delay time control allows up to 750 ms but can go up to 4 seconds if you add a tap-tempo footswitch! Oh dang!
