Need power? Look no further than this LBG2 Lunchbox from ZT Amplifiers out of Berkeley, CA. It packs 200 watts into this less than 10 lbs. box and pushes a 6.5″ speaker. It can also be used as a head and drive an external speaker cabinet at 8 ohms. It take pedals well, has Aux in and Headphones out. Pedal nerds love it. Apartment dwellers swear by it. $275.
Then there’s the Yamaha THR10II which combines a nice tube-like tone, built-in effects, and amp modeling in a desktop sized format. A pair of 3″ full-range speakers and amp models will accommodate basses and acoustic guitars as well and regular old electrics. Bluetooth support, USB connectivity, aux in, and phones out. Makes for a great all in one without taking up too much space. $200.
