We’re excited to bring in Silvertone Classics like these beauties. As many of you know, Silvertone was a brand introduced by Sears and made tons of fun guitars over the years. The pop music of the 50s and 60s made the guitar popular, and inspired many to pick it up.
The Silvertone 1449 models were a very short scale and loved by beginners and the young. The originals were manufactured by Danelectro and Sears sold them like fresh lemonade. The marketing genius of this model lives in infamy because the cases came with a small tube amp inside. How cool is that? They’re still revered by collectors because they encapsulate a place in time.
These modern reissues offer all the style with attention to details that make them enjoyable instruments. Lipstick single-coil pickups, stacked volume/tone controls, string-through-body bridge design, and decent tuners tighten up the quality of the original blueprint. $399.
